Training and Implementation
Medflow has a team of ophthalmic professionals that are ready to take you through the implementation phase. Our Project Managers and Trainers have all spent time in the clinic, they know what it takes to run a busy ophthalmology office. Medflow only hires COA, CCOA, COT, COMT certified people and the company has made a committment to make sure these people maintain their certification. When you speak with our staff you will not waste your time educating them on what you do or how you do certain tests or procedures like you will with other software vendors.
Typically, what Medflow does is identify one, two or more people, depending upon the practice size, who will be trained as "Super Users". These people are given a thorough look under the hood of the Medflow EMR program. They learn the mechanics of the program and they become your experts going forward. It is critical for the practice and the success of the role out of an electronic health records system that you have this expertise on staff. We emphasize this participation significantly and will require these people know as much about the system in the end as the Medflow staff.Once the initial training of the "Super Users" is completed, we define the actual role out plan. An additional advantage of the "Super User" training is most of the customizing to the system and set up is completed during this process. So not only do they learn the system, but it is tweaked to assure you have the content, documents, picklists and other things you require to go live.
Full documentation and video clips support the use of the system and this information is given to the "Super Users" during their training process.
