Medflow’s new touch screen option provides an even more efficient clinical workflow solution! Physicians and technicians are able to document an encounter using a finger tip, stylus or even a pencil eraser. This option provides enhanced functionality and works simultaneously with your keyboard and mouse. Greater speed and ease of use is a reality. Topaz Systems, Inc. Medflow incorporated the Topaz approach to electronic documents and consents with signatures to mimic the tried-and-true methods of ink-on-paper. Topaz designed the software so that document data including meaning and the identity of the signer stay as originally authored in the document. This allows compliance with FDA regulation 21 code, Part 11, section 11.50, and state regulations such as CA 220002(b)(4)(A) and (B). By keeping traditional pen-and-paper document data where it belongs - in the document, the Topaz system avoids potential security and refutability problems.

Visioneer Medflow understands to create a paperless environment the product must support a means of eliminating all of the papercharts. Medflow recommends the 9450 PDF for those needing and wanting to scan a decent amount of documents. The ADF (automatic document feeder) is capable of holding approximately 25 sheets of paper, and in our tests, came quite close to the advertised speed of 8 PPM which is quite fast.
